Common dragonfly, which flies low in vegetation. Flights normally short frequently settle on vegetation. Breeding is limited to stagnant waters. It is a main species prey on several larval species. The body colour varies from yellow to red. The very base of the wings have yellow colouration. sometimes a yellow spot found in tip of the wings.
