These are the list of Snakes rescued from the campus by our
team. The rescued snakes were released safely where the places are appropriate
for them and without any human interventions inside the campus.
- A Checkered keelback – Non venomous snake was rescued from the Girls hostel premises on March 31, 2014
- A Buff striped keelback – Non venomous snake was rescued from the department of Physics on April 4, 2014
- A Rat Snake - Non venomous snake was rescued from the department of Plant Sciences on April 15, 2014
- A Checkered keelback – Non venomous snake was rescued from the Girls hostel premises on June, 2014 (Date not recorded)
- A Rat Snake - Non venomous snake was rescued from the University Canteen on August 11, 2014
- A Common Bronzeback Tree Snake - Non venomous was rescued from Department of Bioinformatics (New building) on September 19, 2014
- A Cobra - Venomous snake was rescued from Bavani Mens hostel on September 19, 2014
- A Rat Snake - Non venomous snake was rescued from Environmental Sciences classroom building (Ground floor) on September 20, 2014
- A wolf Snake - Non venomous snake was rescued from Environmental Sciences classroom building (Ground floor) on November 8, 2014
- A Cobra - Venomous snake was rescued from Environmental Sciences classroom building (Ground floor) on November 10, 2014
- A Checkered keelback – Non venomous snake was rescued from Cauvery Mens hostel on December 9, 2014
- A Rat Snake - Non venomous snake was rescued from Mullai Girls hostel premises on July 13, 2015
- A Common Bronzeback Tree Snake - Non venomous was rescued from MGDC premises on July 15, 2015
- A mature Common Krait was rescued near Vaigai Hostel Gate while catching its frog as dinner. Surprisingly it holds the prey until it released safely back.
- A female Cobra rescued from Dept. of Biomedical sciences block on July 13, 2016
