Commonly found wherever fruit trees available, especially species of wild fig trees. Nesting Period: Jan-June placed in holes in softwood of dead tree like coral tree or Drumstick trees. Normally the call is like a monotonous tuk tuk repeatedly every one or two seconds throughout the day, similar to that of distant copper-smith hammering the metal. Mostly feed on fruits (Figs) and sometimes winged-termites like flycatcher.
